What data do we collect?

Our Company collects the following data:

You directly provide Our Company with most of the data we collect. We collect data and process data when you:

How do we store your data?

Our Company securely stores the majority of your data using the Microsoft 365 Cloud. This includes email, enquiries via website, production notes and interviews. For more information on physical data storage locations please see Microsoft’s 365 data storage site:

Film production may require customer data such as film and audio to be stored on unencrypted media such as hard disks and memory storage cards. These storage media will be relinquished to the client for a nominal cost-recovery fee upon completion of the project, or will be securely wiped prior to reuse to minimize environmental impact.

Our Company will keep your contact details and project notes on file indefinitely in order to facilitate future projects with you. If you do not wish for us to retain particular information then we will delete requested information upon request. For tax purposes we must keep basic information such as billing contact and payment details for up to ten years.

Customers may request us to immediately delete all project files at any time after final payment, upon which time we will provide written notice that the request has been fulfilled. By default, our Company will keep your finished project files in an encrypted format for one year, to serve as a backup. Once this time period has expired, we will delete your data by securely wiping it from our cloud backup.

 

Marketing

Our Company does not participate in bulk email marketing. If a marketing message is sent, it is sent directly to one customer based on their previous enquiry.

You have the right at any time to stop Our Company from contacting you for marketing purposes.

If you no longer wish to be contacted for marketing purposes, please email privacy@upsidedawn.org to request a stop to marketing emails.

 

What are your data protection rights?

Our Company would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:

  • The right to access – You have the right to request Our Company for copies of your personal data. We may charge you a small fee for this service.
